Elon Musk has attacked Christopher Nolan following reports circulating that the black actress Lupita Nyong’o may portray “Helen of Troy” in the new film adaptation of The Odyssey.

The announcement of Nyong’o’s possible participation in the cast – which also includes major stars such as Matt Damon, Tom Holland, and Zendaya – sparked intense reactions worldwide.

Musk posted a comment on X, accusing Nolan of lacking integrity. Responding to someone who pointed out the fact that Helen in the story is “blonde, fair-skinned, and the woman who caused a war because of her beauty,” Musk stated: “Christopher Nolan has lost his integrity.”

The film, which adapts Homer’s epic for the big screen, is expected to be released on July 17, and according to reports, Nyong’o has been chosen for the role of Helen, although her participation has not been officially confirmed.

The movie, which follows Odysseus on his epic journey back to Ithaca after the Trojan War, is expected to be one of the most expensive productions of 2026.
