Reuters: U.S. oil shipped to a refinery in Greece for the first time in four years
A cargo of WTI Midland crude was sent to Greece for the first time in about four years, Reuters reports.
The arrival of the shipment indicates that the U.S. is seeking alternative refining options amid the turmoil in the Middle East.
The tanker Eagle Helsinki, flying the Isle of Man flag, carrying around 700,000 barrels of WTI Midland (a premium U.S. “sweet” crude), departed from the Seabrook Logistics terminal in Houston and arrived in Agioi Theodoroi, at the Motor Oil refinery.

Araghchi: We have not responded to the 15 U.S. proposals, nor submitted any proposals or conditions
While Iran’s president, Masoud Pezeshkian, says the country is ready to negotiate an end to the war, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is sending different signals.
Iran has not responded to the 15 U.S. proposals and has not submitted its own proposals or conditions, he said on Tuesday.
He clarified that Iran continues to receive messages from Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, but “this does not mean negotiations are taking place.” These messages include “warnings or mutual views” conveyed through various regional channels.
There are no official negotiations with any specific party, while exchanges are conducted through the foreign ministry in coordination with security bodies.
Iran’s position is that it will not accept a ceasefire, but rather “a complete end to the war in Iran and across the region.” Tehran, he added, is “ready for any ground confrontation.”

Mojtaba Khamenei is in Iran, says Russia’s ambassador in Tehran
Russia’s ambassador in Tehran stated that Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is in Iran and not hospitalized in Russia, as some rumors had suggested.
“As repeatedly stated by the Iranian leadership, the new leader is in Iran, but for obvious reasons avoids appearing in public,” Alexei Dedov told the global Russian-language outlet RTVI.
The son of Ali Khamenei has not yet appeared publicly since assuming leadership of Iran earlier this month, and his voice has not been heard. Instead, written statements attributed to him have been broadcast by state media.
His failure to appear in person has led to intense speculation about his condition and whereabouts, as well as about the extent to which he controls the Iranian government and military.

Trump to the New York Post on the war with Iran: We have work to do, but we won’t stay there much longer

“We won’t be there much longer. We are completely destroying them right now, it’s total devastation,” the US president said in a phone interview.
“But we won’t need to stay there much longer — we still have work to do regarding neutralizing their offensive capability, whatever offensive capability they have left.”
As for the Strait of Hormuz, he noted that it will “open automatically” once the US withdraws.

Why the Houthis avoid attacking US targets and focus only on Israel
The Houthis are avoiding direct confrontation with the US, choosing for now to focus their attacks on Israel, while it remains unclear whether they will expand their actions into the Red Sea, according to a Western source cited by Israeli outlet N12.
“According to the American assessment, the Houthis are trying not to provoke US entry into their campaign and therefore are not currently attacking American ships or bases, but are focusing their strikes on Israel,” the source said.
The same source stressed that it is still unclear whether Houthi leadership intends to become more involved in the US-Israel confrontation with Iran beyond a symbolic presence. “According to the assessment, it remains uncertain whether the Houthis want to actively engage beyond symbolic participation — in the end, the decision lies with one person, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi,” it noted. “Even if the Houthis attack commercial routes in the Red Sea, this in no way guarantees US intervention against them.”
This assessment follows a Bloomberg report referring to internal disagreements within Houthi leadership regarding the appropriate strategy, as well as strong pressure from Iran on the group to disrupt navigation in the Red Sea.
