Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited Vasilissis Olgas Avenue following the completion of the works.
He was welcomed in the area by Culture Minister Lina Mendoni and former Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis.

It is noted that Vasilissis Olgas Avenue has been reopened to the public after six years of redevelopment works.

The avenue had been closed in 2020 during Kostas Bakoyannis’ term as mayor, with the aim of transforming it into a more pedestrian-friendly space, while still allowing limited vehicle traffic heading toward Zappeion and the tennis facilities.
