Russia’s Polina Gagarina, the sultry singer of “A Million Voices”, impressed Eurovision fans with her glitzy performance, managing to earn second place for her country in the contest. Though born in Russia, the singer spent the first years of her life in Athens and speaks fluent Greek.
Her mother worked as a dance teacher in Athens, however, the family moved back to Russia soon after her father died in 1993. The singer, actress and composer came back to Greece in her adulthood, only to return to her hometown of Saratov in Russia due to her grandmother’s insistence.
