The two 42-year-old suspects arrested in connection with the deadly Marfin bank arson attack were taken to the Evelpidon court complex on Friday afternoon (10/07).

The two detainees, accompanied by heavily armed police officers, left the headquarters of the Attica General Police Directorate (GADA) shortly after 5:00 p.m. and were transported to Evelpidon. One of the two had covered his face and concealed his features, while the other appeared unfazed by the attention and the looks from onlookers.

Their arrests were carried out by the Organized Crime Division as part of the ongoing investigation into the arson attack on May 5, 2010, at the Marfin bank branch on Stadiou Street in Athens, which resulted in the deaths of four people.

The arrests were made in Kypseli and Chalandri following the issuance of arrest warrants. A third person, a 46-year-old woman, is still being sought in connection with the case. An international arrest warrant has been issued for her, as she is currently in the United Kingdom.

According to police sources, all three individuals are known for their involvement in the anti-authoritarian movement.
