The Greek Patriot Guided Missile Battery operating in Saudi Arabia responded to an attack involving two ballistic missiles launched from the direction of Yemen.
According to sources from the Ministry of National Defence, the attack occurred on Saturday, July 25, at 07:15 (Greece time). The target was a major oil refinery facility in the Yanbu area, where the Greek Patriot battery is deployed.
The same sources state that the Hellenic Force in Saudi Arabia (ELDYSA), which participates in the Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) Concept international initiative to support the air defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, responded to the attack with 100% success, intercepting both ballistic missiles. ELDYSA continues its mission as normal.
