The Greek National Organization for Medicines (EOF) is warning consumers about the product TONGKAT ALI HONEY HERBAL MIXED PASTE, a honey-based herbal mixture, following information received from the German authorities.

According to laboratory analyses conducted by the German authorities, the product TONGKAT ALI HONEY HERBAL MIXED PASTE, batch number 12122029, was found to contain the undeclared pharmaceutical substances sildenafil and tadalafil.

These substances are the active ingredients in approved prescription medicines used to treat erectile dysfunction. Their presence without being declared on the product’s label poses a serious risk to public health, the EOF warns.

The EOF is urging consumers who have purchased the specific product not to consume it and to immediately notify the organization.

The Greek medicines regulator also reminds consumers that purchasing products falling under its jurisdiction from unreliable sources, including the internet and social media, can pose an immediate risk to their health.
