I personally asked the Health Minister for a full and in-depth investigation by the competent authorities, says Giorgos Patoulis in his first statement following Adonis Georgiadis’ decision to refer the investigation into his business activities to the National Transparency Authority.

The president of the Athens Medical Association, Mr. Patoulis, states that “the referral of the allegations against me to the National Transparency Authority is the proper institutional procedure, which I fully support.” He stresses that he asked the Health Minister for “a full and in-depth investigation by the competent authorities, so that definitive answers can be provided and the character assassination, dissemination of false information and targeting of me can stop,” adding that he has full confidence in the institutions and will assist them in their work.
