Travel chaos is expected on Wednesday with air traffic control strikes between 2 a.m. and 6 p.m. (local time) on Wednesday.
The strikes – called at short notice – are part of the workers efforts to upgrade their air traffic control system to EU levels as well as for more staff. Controllers are said to complain that they often bring in planes using eyes rather than radars.
The 4-hour work stoppage on Wednesday could be repeated on August 14 and 15.
