French FinMin Sapin: Varoufakis nearly destroyed Greece

French Finance Minister Michel Sapin was extremely critical of former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis in an interview to radio station RTL.

Sapin said Greece was fortunate that France supported the country during the tough EU-19 Summit negotiations in Brussels. He accused Varoufakis of leading Greece to the edge of destruction, while flatly rejecting Varoufakis’ claims that France was blindly following the orders of Berlin.
