«A WARE» a group exhibition within Syros International Film Festival

A very interesting exhibition in the island of Syros from new and distinguished artists

The exhibition presents works by women artists who deal with war stories placed on both personal and historical level.
Each project sketches differently the war of the subconscious by stressing the importance of subjective experience.
The projects combine aspects of the human condition, such as personnel and political, public and private, the psychic and cultural, often authoritarian bounded by targeted historical narratives.

The works referred to the effects of the conventional division of mental and social identity, make art as protest and as an intervention in dominant and patriarchal narratives, political science and political resistance.
At the same time, the meeting of art history and psychoanalysis, politics and feminist theory brings up the past in an attempt to create an image of the contemporary with historical connotations.
