AEK wins Greek football championship (photos)

After many years, back at the top of the league

AEK returned to its throne, after winning 4-0 against Volos.

After five years, AEK -in its first season at OPAP Aren- won its 13th championship in the 99-year history of the club, 5 point ahead of second Panathinaikos.

And all this while the championship started very badly for AEK, being at one point 10 point behind Panathinaikos.

Sergio Araujo, who shocked when he made his appearance at the award ceremony on crutches, but also wearing the A on his armband (honoring the memory of Alkis Kampanos) together with Petros Mandalos raised the cup in the air and the party began.

The trophy was handed over to Sergios Araouhos by the Mayor of New Philadelphia, Yiannis Vouros.
