Alexiadis: Non-taxable income limit to be based exclusively on payments with cards or via bank

Non-taxable limit will be related to the income of the taxpayer, he said

All expenses stated in the tax return should have been paid with credit or debit cards or via bank, Deputy Minister of Finance Trifon Alexiadis said to private TV channel SKAI .

In this way, non-taxable payments will be only those made using credit or debit cards or through bank transfer, including payments for rent, medical exams, family expenses and car purchases.

At the same time, Mr. Alexiadis added that non-taxable limit will be related to the income of the taxpayer.

According to sources of the Ministry of Finance, the government considers providing motives to the taxpayers to use credit or debit cards for their purchases and payments. Specifically, it examines a new system according to which those who have used cards for the 70-80% of their payments will be eligible for a higher non-taxable limit.
