Independent MP Chryssoula Yatayana who used to be a member of Independent Greeks (ANEL) party made a shocking statement on Saturday in relation to the alleged bribery case involving ANEL MP Pavlos Chaikalis.

More specifically, Ms. Chryssoula Yatayana said that she cannot rule out the possibility that the whole case was set up by Independent Greeks (ANEL) leader Panos Kammenos in cooperation with Yorgos Apostolopoulos, the alleged middleman of the bribery attempt.

Ms. Yatayana said that Apostolopoulos is still ANEL leader’s associate. In fact, last October he called her on the phone in order to persuade her to return to the Independent Greeks, the Independent MP said, adding that she has no esteem for this person.
