ANEL leader P. Kammenos says 2015 draft budget is a “virtual reality”

ANEL Leader Panos Kammenos asked for the government to stop seeking ways to extend its life, shortly before the voting of the draft budget

Right-wing Independent Greeks (ANEL) leader Panos Kammenos addressed the 2015 state budget debate on Sunday. He spoke of blackmails and pressures ahead of the presidential election and referred to interests that try to technically keep the government alive.

“The interests that intervene in the Constitution will be revealed and will be held accountable,” he said, noting that instead of discussing the policy that should be implemented the Parliament is debating giving the coalition government a life extension and where the prime minister will find “cushions.”

He stressed that his party would not be brought to its knees, be threatened or bought off. He requested for an end to discussions on whether the 180 deputies required for a Greek president will be found or not.

He said the budget was a “virtual reality” that leads to nowhere regardless of whether the measures imposed by the Greece’s international creditors are taken or not. He said that it could only lead Greek people down the path of misery.
