The police sealed off the area and handed it over to the university authorities shortly after 6 AM when the operation was completed. As stated by a police officer and elected vice president of the Panhellenic Federation of Police Employees, Christos Simeonidis, “We were informed about the occupation of the space. It was decided to carry out the evacuation today without any problems. The space was cleaned and handed over to where it rightfully belongs. There were no individuals inside, only some materials not worth mentioning. We did what had to be done. There were some helmets and some bats. The area was very dirty. The main issue for us is to deliver the space to the university management. These are chronic issues in many places, we are always ready at any moment, and all these spaces should be handed over to the students in the full sense of the word.”
