At what ages do women and men cheat?

Most likely to have an extramarital affair at the end of a decade

Newsroom February 22 11:45

People are twice as likely to cheat on their partners when they turn 39, according to a study.
In fact, you’re more likely to have an affair in the last year of a decade than at any other time. This means that men or women are more likely to be unfaithful when they are 9, 19, 29, 39, 49 or 59 years into their relationship.
According to research by IllicitEncounters.com, Britain’s leading dating website for married people, years ending in nine are seen as a watershed in people’s lives.
The most dangerous age for affairs is 39 – because apparently for many people, life really does begin at 40.
There is no suggestion that any of them have cheated or are planning to cheat, but they have all reached the “danger age” when people are more likely to stray. The second most popular cheating age is 49 followed by the vulnerable age of 29.
IllicitEncounters compiled results from a study of 1,000 people which looked at patterns for cheating and the most common ages when people stray from their partners.
There were 18 per cent more profiles in years ending in nine than for other years in the decade.
And people on the site dated more actively in the last year of a decade. IllicitEncounters.com, the leading authority on infidelity, has more than one million registered members in the UK.
It claims their subscriptions rise by 25 per cent over the summer months as more people look for fun in the sun.
