quity prices were rising at the opening today on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 0.23% and standing at 1,231.64 points at 11:00 am, and turnover at 10.18 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks increased by 0.37%, and the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index increased by 0.15%.

On individual sector indices, the biggest gains were in Financial Services (+1.24%), Banks (+1.11%) and Telecoms (+0.83%).

The biggest losses were in Media (-1.60%), Real Estate (-1.41%) and Travel & Leisure (-0.91%).

Of the stocks traded, 36 were up, 18 were down and 8 were unchanged.
