Evaluations of the June 4th exams:
On June 4, students of GEL were tested in Antiquities, Mathematics, and Biology.
Three teachers provided evaluations on protothema.gr:
Ancient Greek: According to philologist Maria Konsta, the taught text (known) was from Plutarch’s “About Alexander of Fortune and Virtue” and was expected and straightforward. The unknown text from Thucydides’ “Histories” was particularly difficult in terms of translation and semantics.
Mathematics: Mathematician Giannis Kareklas noted that the questions were of graded difficulty but harder than last year. The exams tested basic knowledge of analysis and included challenging questions in subjects C and D, requiring thorough preparation.
Biology: Biology professor Minas Charalambidis commented that the topics emphasized understanding the material without being ambiguous. Well-prepared students should perform well, especially in theory and exercises requiring familiarity with the material.
In summary, well-prepared students in all subjects will be able to achieve high grades.
