Awarding of the second International Lord Byron Award 2023 to Ms Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director General of the WTO

The Lord Byron International Philhellenism Award is awarded to important personalities from the political, cultural, academic or business world

 

The Society for Hellenism and Philhellenism has instituted since 2021 and annually awards, in collaboration with the Academy of Athens, the Lord Byron International Philhellenism Award, to important personalities from the political, cultural, academic or business world.

The second Lord Byron Prize for the year 2023 is awarded to Mrs Ngozi Okongo-Iweala, Director General of the WTO (World Trade Organisation) who will attend the award ceremony at the Academy of Athens on 18 October 2023 at 18.30.

The ceremony will be followed by a discussion-dinner with the WTO General Director as an official guest, at the Athenian Club, at 20.00.
