Bad weather bulletin for Greece: Severe weather phenomena coming in the west

Be advised, follow the authorities’ advice

An emergency weather report with strong phenomena in the west was issued by the National Meteorological Service on Monday afternoon.

The weather will worsen today with heavy rains and thunderstorms in the west that will affect northern Greece until Wednesday as well as the eastern and southern island country.

More specifically, heavy rains and thunderstorms will occur today, Monday,

a) In the northern Ionian and Epirus until the evening hours.

b) In the southern Ionian, western Sterea and western Peloponnese.

c) In Thrace and the northeastern Aegean from the evening hours.

On Tuesday, In the western and southern Peloponnese as well as in the islands of the northeastern Aegean and Thrace. Temporarily in the morning will affect the western mainland.

On Wednesday, in Thrace, the islands of the eastern Aegean, Crete and the Dodecanese.

Rainfall and sporadic thunderstorms are expected to occur today in several areas of the country, while Western and Northern Greece will be affected, while in the west the effects will be strong in places.

On Tuesday, bad weather will prevail in most parts of the country, while on Wednesday the effects will be limited to the Aegean.
