Bangladeshi woman stabbed to death in downtown Athens by compatriot

The 40-year-old perpetrator claimed that he had financial differences with the victim’s partner

A 36-year-old girl from Bangladesh was slaughtered yesterday afternoon in the area of ​​Kypseli in Athens. The culprit, a 40-year-old Bangladeshi man, stabbed the woman in the middle of the road multiple times.

Shortly after 3:00 p.m., the 40-year-old met the victim at 10 Tenedou Street in Kypseli and after they argued, he injured her with a sharp object, causing her multiple, serious injuries.

The 36-year-old woman fell to the ground covered in blood and was taken by ambulance to the Red Cross Hospital, where she died a few hours later.

According to initial reports, the 40-year-old perpetrator claimed that he had financial differences with the victim’s partner and that is why he committed the heinous crime.

A preliminary investigation into the murder is being carried out by the Attica Security Sub-Directorate.
