Bloodshed without end in Gaza

The dead have reached 121 in five days time

Three more Palestinians were killed on Saturday morning during a new air raid by Israeli forces in the Gaza strip, raising the number of dead to 121. The victims are three men, which were killed near a mosque in the east of Gaza, according to a spokesman of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza strip. A spokesman for the Israeli army in Tel Aviv announced that Israel bombed 60 targets at night between Friday and Saturday. The Palestinians seem to have launched five rockets towards the Israeli grounds, which means that the night was relatively calm. According to the representative, since the beginning of the clashes, more than 690 rockets have been launched from the Gaza strip towards Israel. Five palestinians were added to the long list of dead after being killed during two air raids of the Israeli air force on Saturday morning. Specifically, one of the raids hit the building of a charity for people with disabilities in the north, where two people lost their lives, while three more were killed in the west of Gaza.

Israel does not seem willing to enter into any agreement for a ceasefire with the militia, despite international pressure for negotiations between two sides. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, when asked whether Israel will transition from air raids to ground attacks said that they are weighing all options.

Washington D.C. agreed, on Friday with Israel’s right to defend its lands, according to a Pentagon announcement.
