The convoy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which was 150 meters from the Greek delegation led by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, was attacked by a drone at noon on Wednesday (6.3.2024).

“We are all fine,” Stavros Papastavrou, who is part of the Greek delegation, told protothema.gr.

The convoy of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which was 150 metres from the Greek delegation led by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, was attacked by a Russian missile at 11:43 on Wednesday (6.3.2024).

“There is no issue with the safety of the prime minister and the Greek delegation,” official government sources said.

“We are all fine,” Stavros Papastavrou, who is in the Greek delegation, which includes eight people apart from the prime minister and their security, told protothema.gr earlier.

In particular, Anna Maria Boura, director of the Prime Minister’s diplomatic office, Kyra Kapi, Aristotelia Peloni and Alexandros Marakis, as well as the personal photographer and the personal cameraman of Mitsotakis.

The meeting between Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Volodymyr Zelenski is taking place as usual and is ongoing.

The Greek Prime Minister arrived in Ukraine unannounced with the intention of staying for a few hours before going to Bucharest for the EPP Summit.

However, while in Odessa, an airspace alert was raised.

Local media are reporting that Odessa was hit by either an Iskander or an Onyx missile. Officially no announcements have been made.

The military command of Odessa called on the residents around 14:00 noon to go to shelters. According to Telegram users, five people were killed and several injured in the attack.
