Special forces as well as choppers are employed in search of Charlie Hebdo’s assassins

The hunt is on to find the two Kouachi brothers who spread terror at the offices of Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday.

With groups of men from both elite units of the French police (Raid and GIGN), the French authorities are trying to identify and arrest the perpetrators who murdered in cold blood a total of twelve people.

Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, suspected of killing 12 people at the offices of French magazine Charlie Hebdo, were recognized by a petrol station owner at Picardy, France, who immediately notified the police.

Le Figaro reports that the two brothers Cherif and Said Kouachi were traveling in a grewy Renault Clio and were armed with a kalashnikov and rockets.

A huge manhunt is on to find them following the identity of one of the men left behind in an abandoned car following their attack at Charlie Hebdo.

18-year-old Murad Hamid, Cherif Kouachi’s brother-in-law, surrendered last night after seein his name being linked to the crime on social media. People claiming to be Mr. Hamid’s fellow students say that he was with them at school during the incident.

 

A while ago, French media reported that the two wanted men abandoned the car they were riding in, on a road 80km outside the French capital.

Strong police forces rushed to the spot where the car was abandoned and discovered molotov cocktails and jihadist flags.

Witnesses report that the two men have taken refuge in a house in Crepy-en Valois. As such, police have verily swarmed the area, trying to discover their exact location.
