Captain William Kidd’s treasure found?

A bar of silver, but where’s the grog?

Divers discovered a bar of silver, weighing in at 50kg, thought to belong to the legendary Scot William Kidd.

 

The bar of silver, according to news media from Madagascar were transported on the pirate’s ship, when it run sank in a cove near the island.

 

According to photos from the interview, one can clearly see the letters S and L as well as number 95 carved on the bar.

 

The divers team which made the discovery states that the shipwreck was discovered in an area playing host to many more shipwrecks in Sainte Marie, an island near Madagascar.
