CEB allocates 2.5 million euros to Greece for the refugees

The funding falls within the program of the Migrants and Refugees Fund (MRF)

The social development bank in Europe (CEB) decided to allocate 2.5 million euros to Greece for hosting refugees, following a proposal submitted by the Greek government.

The funding falls within the program of the Migrants and Refugees Fund (MRF) created in September 2015 by CEB to implement projects on receiving, hosting and integrating refugees and migrants in the member-states of European Union.

The Greek project is one out of five to be funded by MRF.

The proposal of the Greek government provides the creation of 500 additional places for refugees at Eleonas, in Attica in order to help address the increased needs of the refugee relocation mechanism.
