Chinese Ambassador tells his compatriots to “Invest in Greece”

He invited Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Greece

An invitation to the Chinese business community to visit Greece in order to explore the business opportunities of investments, was directed by ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Greece Zou Xiaoli from the podium of the Hellenic-Chinese Business Conference of 2014, organized by the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research and the Business Institute Confucius of the Athens University of Economics.

The Ambassador stated that the economic situation in Greece has improved and that the climate is very favorable for further enhancement of business, economic and other relations that have for a long time now been associated with the friendly ties between the two countries. He spoke towards strengthening the bilateral economic ties focused on preparing the right strategy in this direction, the information sharing between the two sides and preparation at the institutional level. He mentioned the possibility of using the geographical position of Greece, for those who choose to invest in the country.

Referring to Cosco’s investment, the Chinese diplomat stated inter alia that it generally contributes to the prosperity of the city of Piraeus, the country’s economy as it enhances a range of economic activities, such as logistics, finance, etc. He also emphasized the importance of increasing production manufacturing of high quality products to the Chinese market.

The Ambassador also called on Greek businessmen to visit China and expand the great opportunities presented in the second largest economy in the world. THe aim of the conference is to inform and strengthen business relationships and partnerships between Greece and China. The conference aims to become a pioneer opening and entrepreneurship for the connection of modern concepts and practices between Greece and China.

The conference will explore topics from all areas of entrepreneurship that reflect the priorities of the two countries.
