Medical facilities in China perform electric shock therapy to gays

Their methods are exposed by the Dateline program.

Chinese doctors admit that they try to cure homosexuality with electric shock therapy.

Images show Chinese men with electrodes placed close to their genitals and on their head before being subjected to huge doses of electric voltage in order to rid of their homosexuality.

As Daily Mail reports, even though China has outlawed the classification of homosexuality as ‘mental illness’ more than 15 years ago there are still medical facilities which claim they can ‘cure homosexuality’ and use electric shock. Their methods are exposed by the Dateline program.

An undercover activist, John Shen, is told he can be prescribed drugs and shock therapy at Tianjin Mental Health Hospital.

‘It’s a small electric rod, when you have these urges, you shock yourself with the rod, then you know you should avoid these urges,’ a psychiatrist tells Mr Shen.
