Contract employees protest outside SYRIZA’s headquarters (pics+vid)

They claim that they have not been paid for six months

The contract employees of social infrastructures of local self-government organization (ΟΤΑ) protest outside the Ministry of Labour claiming that they have not been paid for six months.

They also accuse the government that it will continue the social infrastructures for poverty using NSRF funds, but hiring new employees with nepotism criteria, since their contracts end at the end of June.

In order to de-escalate the tension, SYRIZA’s MP Petros Karagiorgos met the protesters on the street to talk about their demands and ask them to calm down, but the protesters were angry and frustrated and told him: “Was it OK, when you were yelling? Now you do not want us yelling. But, we will continue shouting”.
