Coronavirus Greece – 15,044 new cases, 73 deaths, 358 intubated

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,492 patients have been discharged from the ICU

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in Greece in the last 24 hours were 15,044. The total number of people who became ill amounts to 3,126,856 (daily change + 0.5%), of which 49.1% are men.

The number of possible new infections recorded in the last 24 hours was 1,467 while since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 118,070 (3.6% of the total number of positive results).

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 73, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 27,892 deaths have been recorded. 95.4% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 358 (65.9% men). Their median age is 70 years. 91.1% have
an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 212 (59.22%) are unvaccinated or
partially vaccinated and 146 (40.78%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,492 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
