Coronavirus Greece: 2,661 new cases, 118 intubated, 11 deaths

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,687 patients have been discharged from the ICU

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the coronavirus recorded in Greece in the last 24 hours were 2,661. The total number of people who became ill is 3,470,640 (daily change + 0.1%), of which 48.8% are men.

The number of possible re-infections recorded in the last 24 hours was 284 while since the beginning of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic the total number is estimated at 137,852 (3.8% of the total number of positive results).

There are 11 new deaths of patients with COVID-19, while a total of 29,913 deaths have been recorded since the beginning of the epidemic. 95.6% had an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 118 (61.0% men). Their median age is 70 years. 92.4% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older. Among intubated patients, 59 (50%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 59 (50%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,687 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
