Delta Airlines announced the doubling of its flights to Athens next summer from its New York City hub at John F. Kennedy airport. Flights will begin from March 27, 2016, starting at five times per week and increasing to a daily service from May 24. An additional flight will be added from May 27, 2016, to operate on a daily basis. This will bring weekly total flights to 14 per week and 7,500 weekly seats between Greece and the United States during the summer season.
