Deputy FM Mardas to participate in the 33rd Meeting of the BSEC Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs

The meeting will take place in Bucharest on 11 December 2015

Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Mardas departs today for Romania, where he will represent Greece at the 33rd Meeting of the BSEC Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, which is taking place in Bucharest on 11 December 2015.

Returning to Thessaloniki on Saturday, 12 December, Mr. Mardas will meet with a delegation of employees from the company AGNO, which is under liquidation, and will then participate in a meeting of the Boards of the Federation of Professionals and Merchants of the Prefecture of Thessaloniki and the Greek Association of Entrepreneurs, on the subject of “Policy for promoting exports, goods and services, and new modes of cooperation in the Balkans.” At 16:00 the same day, Mr. Mardas will speak at the University of Macedonia, on the job prospects for young people in the European Union’s institutional organs.

On Sunday, 13 December, Mr. Mardas will travel to the U.S. to participate, as a keynote speaker, in the 17th Capital Link Forum (New York City, 14-15 December), on the promotion of investments in Greece, and he will also meet with Archbishop Demetrios of America.

Mr. Mardas will then travel to Washington, DC, where he will meet with Catherine Novelli, the U.S. Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and Environment. He will also participate as a speaker in events at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Brookings Institution, while also meeting with Greek American organizations.
