Drunk drivers to face life in prison under new criminal code in Greece

The law will be put up for public consultation

Amendments to the Criminal Code to be put up for public consultation will have much stricter penalties for drivers arrested under the influence of alcohol who cause fatal traffic accidents, even providing for life in prison in some instances.

Among other things, the amendments in the criminal code to be debated cover matters related to terrorism, stricter penalties for possession and use of cocktail molotov bombs, invasions of public buildings, active bribery and breach of trust.
