The Holy Week is approaching with the meteorologists making their estimates for the development of the weather until Easter.

According to the meteorologist of SKAI, Christina Souzi, from Sunday, the northern winds are strengthening in the east and mainly in the Aegean Sea where they will reach 7 to 8 Beaufort until Tuesday.

Specifically, on Monday and Tuesday will prevail north northeast winds, in the west 4 – 5 Beaufort, in the east 6-7, and locally in the Aegean 8 Beaufort. Also, the winds will be particularly strong this weekend in Attica.

On Wednesday there will be a slight weakening of the winds.

On Maundy Thursday, north-northwest winds will prevail, in the west 3-4 Beaufort, in the east 5-6 and on the islands of the Eastern and Southeastern Aegean, eastern Crete and the Dodecanese 7 Beaufort.

According to the meteorologist of Alpha George Tsatrafyllia, the weather will be mixed during the days of Easter.

It starts with good weather and some dust – more on Maundy Thursday – and ends with spring instabilities, as he underlines in a post.

Here’s the weather through Easter Sunday, according to the weatherman:

– Lazarus Saturday: Clouds and afternoon showers in the highlands of Epirus, Thessaly, Macedonia and Thrace. North winds up to 6 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea. Temperature up to 23 degrees on the mainland, up to 25 degrees in the Dodecanese.

– Palm Sunday. North winds up to 7 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea. Temperature 28 degrees in the west.

– Holy Monday: Generally clear, some dust in the west. North winds up to 8 Beaufort in the Aegean. Temperature up to 27 degrees.

-Holy Tuesday: generally clear with the exception of afternoon showers in the mountains of Thrace and Crete. Some dust in the west. North winds up to 8 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea. Temperature up to 27 degrees

-Holy Wednesday. Some dust in the west. North winds up to 8 Beaufort in the Aegean. Temperature up to 26 degrees

-Holy Thursday: generally clear with the exception of drizzle in northern Greece. Some dust in the west. North winds up to 6 Beaufort in the Aegean. Temperature up to 28 degrees.

– At the same time, it also gives a first estimate for the weather on Holy Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday. As he stresses: “Cloudy with showers and local showers mainly in the mountains of western and northern Greece. West-northwest winds of 6-7 Beaufort and a drop in temperature.”

Scattered clouds in places more dense mainly in the midday and afternoon hours, when local rain will occur in the western and northern highlands. From the afternoon, generally clear weather in most of the country. Locally limited visibility in the morning hours in the west.

Winds will blow from northerly directions 3 to 5 and gradually from noon in the Aegean Sea 6 and locally up to 7 Beaufort. The temperature will reach 24 to 25 degrees Celsius in most areas and locally in the eastern mainland 26 degrees Celsius.
