EgyptAir plane body parts found at Alexandria

Debris and passengers’ belongings were found 290km north of the coastal city of Alexandria

Egyptian State TV reported that the Egyptian Navy has found passengers’ body parts, belongings and debris from the missing EgyptAir flight 290km north of the coastal city of Alexandria.

The navy is searching the area to find the plane’s black box.

According to Greek Ministry of Defence citing information provided by Egyptian authorities, bodies, debris and baggage have been found about 5 miles from the point the plane lost contact.

EgyptAir also confirmed that debris and personal belongings have been found off the coast of Alexandria and tweeted condolences to the families of the victims.

Following the announcement of the Egyptian officials, Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah expressed his deep condolences to the families of the passengers.
