Energy minister points to ADMIE agreement as great success for Greece

Govt agrees to an independent valuer that will determine the exact height of compensation and will also determine how the payment will be held

Environment and Energy Minister Panos Skourletis told Greek newspaper Agora that the agreement for Independent Power Transmission Operator (ADMIE) has closed and its implementation is underway. He said that the deal clearly states that the Public Power Corporation is to be compensated.

“We have agreed for an independent valuer that will determine the exact height of compensation and will also determine how the payment will be held,” he said, adding that the government has succeeded in securing new ADMIE’s public character while compensating the PPC.

Skourletis also commented on the ‘parallel program’ stating that it was withdrawn from Greek Parliament but will be resubmitted after the holidays.
