Interior Minister Nikos Voutsis was critical of the European Union on Wednesday in statements made to private Mega TV station.

He said that the EU has not been following its own rules.

The “Draghi package” of the European Central Bank (ECB) is allocated to countries that borrow at zero interest but Greece is excluded. Furthermore, Greece is entitled to take back money, but they are not giving it in order to cause suffocation.

“We will not go back from the (red) lines related to the survival of the people,” said Vroutsis, who underlined that the SYRIZA government has the support of most of the world regardless of political faction.
