Break in crucial Eurogroup meeting: Still no agreement

Break in session

The Eurogroup is currently in recess. At this time, eurozone finance ministers have not agreed to extend financial aid for Greece nor does it seem likely. “Plan B is now Program A,” said Finnish Finance Minsiter Alexander Stubb prior to deliberations.

Initially it appeared that the Eurogroup had ended, but it was a break in session. Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis could be seen talking with International Monetary Fund Chief Christine Lagarde and German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble.

Sources state that Varoufakis is trying to convince his counterparts to extend the Greek program for a month, however this seems unlikely.
