EuroWorking Group teleconference has been concluded

The teleconference is currently underway

The EuroWorking Group’s teleconference on the Greek issue started at approximately 4 p.m. (Athens time) on Wednesday and ended two hours later.

Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis participated in the crucial discussion.

Government sources have confirmed earlier in the day Greece’s willingness to reach an agreement with the country’s EU creditors on the basis of a framework that does not involve austerity measures so that the economy can be rebooted.

So far, meetings with the Brussels Group have been conducted in a cordial climate with a mutual desire for an agreement, say government sources. The same sources state that both sides intend to intensify the fact-finding process underway in Athens.
