Ex Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff Kostarakis dies at 67

He was battling cancer

The former Head of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), Michael Kostarakos, passed away at the age of 67.

General Michail Kostarakos was hospitalised with cancer at the 424 General Military Training Hospital in Thessaloniki.

He was Chief of the General Staff of the National Defense from November 1, 2011, to September 15, 2015.
