Explosion in Glyfada – Incendiary devices found in two cars

Police are looking for the culprits

An explosion occurred at dawn in Glyfada, a seaside suburb of Attica. Unknown persons planted an incendiary device in two vehicles and disappeared. The incident took place at 05:10, at 50 Ithomis Street.

The culprits placed the incendiary device in the two parked vehicles before disappearing in the narrow streets of Glyfada.

Material damage was caused while the police officers who arrived at the scene and the Crime Labs unit blocked the crime scene and are collecting the remains of the mechanism.

In the first vehicle, according to reports, residues from a 5-liter plastic bottle and in the second from a 1.5-liter bottle were found.

Authorities are looking for the person who lived in the apartment building believing the explosion might have been some warning message.
