Farmer in Serres committed suicide after finding out he had Covid-19

The man was fully vaccinated

A 47-year-old farmer killed himself after he was informed he is positive for the coronavirus. His family had been looking for him since Wednesday night and found him dead on the road outside his village of Orini in Serres.

According to reports broadcast by ERT, the 47-year-old man, who was engaged, allegedly ended his life with a carbine, which was found next to him, when he was informed that he is positive for the coronavirus, despite being fully vaccinated.

The man feared he would end up in a hospital and be intubated.

According to the ERT report, he did not have a history of mental illness.
