Farmers on Lesvos warn they will take up arms to protect their livestock from refugees (video)

Refugees and migrants steal animals in the middle of the night

Farmers near the refugee hotspot of Moria, on the island of Lesvos are in an uproar, alleging refugees and migrants are stealing their live stock. The farmers, who threaten to take up arms to protect their property, made the allegations on local news site Lewsvosnews.gr, accusing the refugees hosted in the facility of sneaking out after dark, entrapping their animals and killing them in adjacent land plots to the hotspot. They say it has been going on for days, complaining the Moria hotspot is not being guarded properly, enabling the refugees and migrants to enter and exit the area at their own will. They also claim the refugees light up fires to cook the stolen animals which has led to small fires, while their bar fences have been destroyed by the raids.
