Final deadline for Greece to complete all prior actions

Greece must fulfill all prior actions required by the lenders in order to receive the next tranche

The Greek government pledged during yesterday’s EuroWorking Group that it will take all measures required by the institutions in order to proceed to the disbursement of the next tranche.

Even though it was believed that Monday’s EuroWorking Group would have put an end to the negotiations that have lasted for months and given the green light to the next tranche disbursement, the lenders decided to extend talks giving Greece another deadline to fulfill all prior actions they require and have another meeting in 24hours.

Despite the fact that the compliance report on the Greek program review submitted by European Commission to EuroWorking Group was in principle positive, the EWG did not give its approval to conclude the program review and disburse the next tranche.
