The distribution of the social dividend of approximately 165 million euro to 250.000 households that qualify based on their submitted applications has finally been approved.

Payment will take place within the next week, as decided in the meeting of the Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Christos Staikouras with the General Secretary of State Revenue Ms Katerina Savvaidi and Mr. Filippo Sahinidis, Mr. GiorgosKoutroumanis and Christos Protopappas, concerning the evaluation of the performance of the “social dividend” after the completion of submitting requests to the beneficiaries ‘social divident’.

In conclusion, since the beginning of the application submission on the 17th of April 2014 until the closing date of the 30th of June 2014, 576,000 applications have been approved and after the last payment, the total amount of 375 million euro will have been paid.
