Finnish govt probes leaked memos on Greece and Russia

The leaked e-mail exchanges were between the prime minister and Finnish civil servants

Finnish Prime Minister Alexander Stubb’s office said that the Finnish government is investigating the leak of a confidential e-mail exchange on European sanctions against Russia. Excerpts of a memo on Greece were also published on Friday.

The memo on Greece concerned secret plans to boot Greece from the eurozone and warning of “very difficult political decisions” that need to be made.

The e-mails leaked concerned exchanges between Stubb and Finnish civil servants, however it couldn’t be confirmed whether any of the messages were sent to recipients outside the country.
