Fire breaks out at Russian Cultural Center in Nicosia (video)

The cause of the fire is still unknown

Newsroom April 26 03:13

A fire broke out at the Russian Cultural Center in Nicosia on Wednesday (26/04) at noon. The Fire Service immediately responded with five fire engines, including an aerial ladder.

According to the spokesperson for the Force, the entire roof was engulfed in flames. However, the situation was manageable, and the Fire Department’s press representative, Andreas Kettis, reported that access was made to the roof of the building to fully extinguish the fire, as well as to extinguish small fires inside.

Mr. Kettis added that the fire had been contained, and the search for any trapped individuals was ongoing. Oxygen cylinders used for work were also safely transported outside.
