Five airspace violations by Turkish fighters over Greek national airspace

All aircraft were intercepted

Eight Turkish fighter jets flew today over the Aegean and violated the Greek national airspace and carried out three infringements of air traffic rules in the Athens FIR.

The Turkish aircraft that moved in three formations in the northeastern Aegean were not armed.

As reported by the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, the Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules, according to standard practice.
